I was told that you can get a ticket for this, is this True where you live? By habit I keep a pair of backup prop shoes under the front seat just in case... When I do have to drive, I always drive with liberated feet, and I actually feel that I have better control and grip on the pedals. Any thoughts about this? Of course my BF prefer petals to pedals, but I am just curious!

Re: Driving Barefoot-
Mon, April 12, 2004 - 12:09 PMThanks for dispelling the myth, I have carried it with me since I began driving in the mid 80's! now do i feel naive? Delightfully so! It does bring up the thought that it's time to find a new home for those shoes under the seat then. Thanks again for the great links.

Re: Driving Barefoot-
Mon, April 12, 2004 - 10:41 PMBF is my normal way of driving. The clutch, brake, and
accelerator feel so much more friendly to the BF.
Shoes dull the tactile feelings of the toes and ball
of the foot--quite important sensations when using a
clutch pedal! -
