Spring finally *is* here! The winds have blown
the blossom petals off the the tree limbs.
The petals stick to the bottom of my BF.
Has this happened to you?

Re: Blossom petals
Fri, April 2, 2004 - 8:58 PMThose of us in the northern climes are happy to just see dead grass again.
I did get to go out on my first brief bf hike of the season this weekend, and it was wonderful! I've missed the earth beneath my feet so much. -

Sat, April 3, 2004 - 1:10 PMyeah, the last bit of snow finally melted and there were a few nice days here in VT. I guess more snow is on the way for Monday and Tuesday. -

Re: Blossom petals
Sat, April 3, 2004 - 6:46 PMI was in Waseca, Minnesota in January a few years
ago, so I do have some idea what you must
experience. Has all the snow finally melted yet? -

Re: Blossom petals
Sat, April 3, 2004 - 6:54 PMYou weren't that far from me! Waseca is a beautiful town. The snow is mostly melted, though piles are still visible here and there on the north sides of the ditches and yards, shelterbelts, etc.
A few years ago, a couple friends of ours near Marshall (SW MN) took a photo of themselves standing next to a pile of snow that was still in their shelterbelt on July 4. -

Re: Blossom petals
Sat, April 3, 2004 - 7:01 PMWe often drive through there via 14 on our way to visit family back in SD. Some of the houses going through there are gorgeous! (Not to mention the lake.)

Sat, April 3, 2004 - 7:06 PMIf you get by that way again, drop me a line and I'll meet you in Owatonna or something. -

Re: Blossom petals
Sat, April 3, 2004 - 7:13 PMMy wife's cousin lives in Owatonna! :-)
Small world. Don't get to Minnesota that
often. But I'll remember to look you up
should I be out your way. My cousin lives
in Des Moines (actually, Urbandale), Iowa. :-)
I see him when he comes out to visit his
Dad in San Francisco! :-)

Re: Blossom petals
Fri, April 9, 2004 - 4:38 PMOh i do love the spring petals! The petals stick to the bottom of my feet, and when i trapse thru the grass when its still covered in dew, it makes the petals adorn the tops of my feet as well. absolutely lovely experience for this time of year! -
