Hey bf walkers what are your personal favorire barefoot hikes and hiking conditons?
My personal favorite is a forest trail in a light rain, mist or fog. The rain brings out the fresh smell of the forest and the rich smell of the damp earth. I love it when the trail forms an inch or two of mud. I just love the feel of mud squishing between my toes.

Re: Favorite Barefoot Hikes
Fri, October 14, 2005 - 2:08 PMGreetings Gypsy,
What a great topic!
I would have to say that I have 2 favorite barefoot hikes.
1)I like to walk bf on the beach just at the water line. Something about wet sand between my toes and the smell of the ocean.
2)And, stomping through the forest trails at my favorite home away from home. The Hostel in the Forest in Brunswick, Georgia www.foresthostel.org The earth here has an energy that is very healing and grounding;-)
Namaste, Tawny

Thanks for your post. I hope it will inspire others on this tribe to jump in.
I agree about the water line. I see your near Brunswick. Some great beaches around there. I had a wonderful time camping on Cumberland Island and strolling the powdery white sand beaches in the buff. I never saw wild horses, wild pigs and dead horseshoe crabs but not another two legged on that beach for the entire 3 days I was there.
Nice tats lady!
Namaste to you as well.

Fri, October 14, 2005 - 7:33 PMI wish I could type. I DID see wild horses, wild pigs, and dead horseshoe crabs on Cumberland. I did not see any two leggeds on that particular stretch of beach for 3 whole days. I felt like Robinson Crusoe waiting for Friday. A little bit of paradise if you ask me.
